If I see one more rant on LinkedIn…

If I see one more rant on LinkedIn about how p#ssed off people are on seeing a flood of bland and copycat supposedly ai-generated posts, I will go crazy.

I’m not too keen on seeing a sea of sameness generated by ai either.  But the rants against this are just as dull (though probably not created by ai).

Whether you use ai to help you write or are a purist hunting and pecking on your old school laptop, if the result is derivative, then you are equally guilty.

So, here’s my take: rather than worry about too many ‘em dashes’ as the tell-tale sign of ai’s fingerprints on a post, let’s focus on the quality of the output.

If the content is interesting and compelling who cares how it was created?

This is always how I’ve thought about working with people that I lead:  Set them up, give them all they need to succeed and let the results speak for themselves.  If the output is good great stuff.

So next time you see a post that looks overly polished, ask yourself, “Is this valuable to me?”

If yes, interact.  If no, move on.

But moaning about whether someone’s used the latest tool to help them is boring.

So, that’s my rant about ranting. I hope it’s not boring.

And I wrote it myself.

(if it really matters to you😀)
